Pediatric Hospitalist Physician Opportunity
Fairbanks, Alaska | $386,428 | No State Income or Sales Tax
Join a collaborative, tight-knit Pediatric Hospitalist team in Alaska's "Golden Heart City." We are seeking a full-time, permanent Pediatric Hospitalist physician dedicated to community-based care.
Position Requirements: Must relocate and reside locally. No block scheduling and no commuting options are available; candidates wishing to travel in for shifts will not be considered.
Practice Highlights
- Schedule: 5-7 scheduled 24-hour shifts per month. Flexible scheduling, but no block shifts.
- Coverage: Newborn Nursery, Level 2 NICU, high-risk deliveries (~1,100 total deliveries/year), Pediatrics floor, ED/Surgery consults, and transport stabilization.
- Teaching: Attending duties available for those with an interest in teaching rotating residents and medical students
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $386,428 base (1.0 FTE) + additional shift incentives.
- Signing Bonus: $65,000
- Relocation: Reimbursed based on receipts, with 90 days of temporary housing provided.
- Loan Forgiveness: 501(c)(3) non-profit status (PSLF eligible).
- Perks: $5,000 CME, license/credential reimbursement, and malpractice insurance.
